Samantha Chiu (@samanthachiu) didn’t grow up in a family of bakers. But when she began experimenting four years ago, she knew she’d found more than a hobby. “Baking has been, and will always be, a creative outlet for me,” says the 27-year-old software marketer who lives in Toronto, Canada.
Baking cookies and cakes in animal shapes allows Samantha’s imagination to roam — while keeping her ideas manageable. “Constraints breed creativity,” she says of her cute, minimalist designs. “I find it easier to challenge myself by setting boundaries.”
Ultimately, Samantha shares her creations with a simple goal in mind. “I just want to brighten someone’s day. If I’m able to make one person smile, then I feel like I’ve accomplished something.”
