After working as a designer in the fashion industry for 15 years, Isobel Schofield started Bryr Clogs (@bryrclogs) in 2012. “I felt that there was a better way to make things that was responsible, ethical and connected,” says Isobel, whose company makes every pair of clogs to order in their San Francisco workshop. “Since the very beginning, I’ve connected with my community through Instagram. I shoot all our photos and stories on my phone, capturing real moments from life in the studio and out in the world. I believe that being authentically ourselves, and showing what we do and why we love it, brings like-minded people to us.”
Isobel’s advice to new businesses trying to build a presence on Instagram? “Be real and be true to who you are and what you believe in.”
Watch as Isobel and her team construct a pair of their signature clogs on today’s story for #SmallBizSat.
